This blog's name is a transcription of the Russian phrase "We are a specialist".
Some time ago, a bright spark at work decided it was a good idea to give the employees personality tests. This was an electronic multi-choice test that we could do on our own computers. I did mine over the phone with my husband. Test result:  'Specialist'. Between the two of us, we one brain and one pair of hands. We are one specialist, who is happily married.

Вкусный Ажур / Yummy Openwork

Я понятия не имела, что можно сделать ажурного для Общего задания № 4 - В ажуре на блоге Хомячок Challenge. А муж сказал:  "Это-же пара пустяков" и сделал эту корзинку из сыра.

I had no idea what to make for the openwork challenge on the Homyachok challenge blog. But my husband said:  "Easy as" and made this cheese basket.

This is for a challenge presented by the Vintage & Beyond group on Paper Craft Planet. The idea is to alter a biscuit cutter in any way you like and use any theme. This one became a pin cushion. The whole idea was completely my husband's and he made the arrow.

Это для задания на сайте Paper Craft Planet в группе Vintage & Beyond. Идея такая:  видоизменить нарезатель для бисквитов (по-английски называется cookie cutter или biscuit cutter  -  если есть специальное название по-русски, пожалуйста дайте знать). Изменять можем, как хотим. Вся идея  полностью моего мужа и он сделал стрелу.

Rocks / Камни (English & Русский)

For this unusual project on LIttle Fun, you have to create an ATC (or ATC's) and decipher the abbreviation in your own way. It can be theme, technique, colours, materials that begin with each of the letters and are used in your project. For me this gets more interesting for two reasons:  I love playing with linguistics and understand nothing of ATC's, and I get to play with two languages, as the same letters appear in both Russian and English alphabets.
I came up with a series of precious gems - Amethyst, Topaz (yellow) and Sapphire, which is suitable for Russian  but not for English. No problem, can do technique/materials: Appliqué & Aperture, Tinting & Thread, Cellophane & Chiffon.

Для Задания АТС Расшифровка у Little Fun, у меня серия драгоценных камней:
Аметист, Топаз (жёлтый), Сапфир. Проект интересный по двум причинам: оооочень увлекаюсь лингвистикой и ооооочень не разбираюсь в АТС. А ещё потому, что могу поиграться с двумя языками. На этот раз, выбрала русский и английский; могла, конечно, скомбинировать, например, сербский со шведским.....   ;)   (шучу, шучу, не обращайте на меня внимания).
Техника/материалы по-английски: Appliqué & Aperture = Аппликация и Апертура (смотрела в словаре - так переводится и ещё как 'отверстие', 'проём'); Tinting & Thread = тонирование и нитки; Cellophane & Chiffon = целлофан и шифон. Попробую по-русски:  Аппликация и Апертура (если это правильный перевод); Тонирование и Текстурный фон; Стразы и Спирали. А вот названия камней можно только по-русски из-за Sapphire.
Спасибо, что прочитали это длинное объяснение. По-моему я слишком много работ писала по-лингвистике.
