Every Inchie Monday has Umbra this week. U-M-M-B-R-A, what a phonetically beautiful word. I remember the total eclipse that was full right here in Melbourne on 23 October 1976. Spring, hot, ABBA playing in people's houses, and all the neighbours out in the street, barbecuing and waiting for this eclipse. Most of us ignored the "don't look at it directly" bit, and it was well worth it. I don't have many, but this is one of the very few happy childhood memories I have. And it's a beauty!
And the twinchie keyword is Leaves. In my world grow these trees.

ah - you used the true sense umbra (the planetary one) - great inchie and nice story. wouldn't mind a money tree myself!
ReplyDeleteOh I have a thing about cosmos and planets and all them. Yep, every garden should have at least one of these trees.
DeleteVery beautiful inchie and a fun twinchie
ReplyDeleteLove Chrissie x
Thanks Chrissie!
DeleteWell done for using the true meaning and also please can you sent me some "money tree" seeds as the whole hip replacement op is rather expensive when you go for private rather than NHS :-)
ReplyDeleteSally
Promise will send some as soon as I find them.
DeleteLove your eclipse. I do remember seeing one too. We all looked! I had to laugh at your tree. If you get seeds, send me some. I also like seeing Diva Dance on the trunk!
ReplyDeleteWill definitely share the seeds. Thanks Jean! I was just trying to make it look like wood grain, turned out Diva Dance - not bad.
Deletelove your inchie. I do remember an eclipse we had when I was in High school, early 80's we all went outside and watched the sun, and watched, and watched, then the teachers were like, here it is, isnt it great? But the rest of us saw nothing LOL One of the teachers said that if we were in on the other side of the world we would have seen something. HAHA But i love yours more than that one for sure. What a great job!. I also would love to have that tree in my yard please.
ReplyDeleteWe are all waiting for those seeds.... sigh......
DeleteBeautiful inchie depiction. Love that you have money trees in your world. Watch out for the thieves :).
ReplyDeleteThank you! Will need a fence :)
DeleteZoe, that is a fabulous illustration of an eclipse. Beautiful! May the universe conspire to bestow upon you all manner of goodness, including money trees if need be. Have a brilliant day! c
