Coming up soon is my parents' wedding anniversary. I quilled for them a melting Dali clock. They love showing off all my work. You can check out his paining with the melted clocks, The Persistence of Memory here.
I really struggled with this one. So did my husband (we really enjoy this family game). Suddenly he had this idea for Talk on EMI. Of many olden media, the radio is still surviving. Why, what it is about radio? Anonymity? Can't be tracked as easily as we can be via the internet? Useful in the car, at work, in the shower, whenever we can't look but only listen? What do you think?
On Wicked Wednesday ATC, the theme this week is Pink & Black & White. Here is my tangled ATC in a pink frame:
Today, January 26, is also Australia Day. I found this pic that shows the more beautiful side of this country:

You are oh so brilliant! You are oh so talented!!
ReplyDeleteMaking everyone smile by being the fist one to comment on my own post :D
That's total garbage!
DeleteBut you ARE so brilliant. Love the idea of talk radio. Do you ever listen to old time radio programs from the 40's and 50's? I love those shows, especially the mystery ones. (I seem to permanently live in that era, although I wasn't around in the forties, because I watch old movies almost exclusively on TV). I found this one really hard too. Your pink, black and white tangle is lovely. Happy Australia Day! Great Koala. They always look so cute and cuddly.
ReplyDeleteOh, and I love your quilling. So beautiful. Maybe sometime I can do something as lovely (but not yet, as I'm still learning!)
Delete:) Thanks Kia! Of course I love the oldies. We have a station here - Gold FM, that plays only 50's & 60's (and some 40's). I wasn't around in the 50's. You are doing lovely quilling; I am still learning also.
DeleteMy goodness!!!! That quilled gift for your parents is just out of this world!!! I am just speechless!!! the color combo is radiant! I know they will just love it!!! I'm sure they will show it off to everyone! Rightfully so!!! Wishing them many more healthy, happy years!!! Every year we get with our parents at this point of their lives, is a true gift!!!
ReplyDeleteSuperb job with your Inchie!! I usually don't look at anybodies until I do mine, But I saw your quilled project and it led me to your inchie too!! And that, my friend, is perfect, for 'talk'!!!
Have a beautiful week and thank you always, for making me smile!!! You would be an awesome friend to have nearby!! Until then, blessings!! :0) Annette
Awww, thanks Annette! I think the only person unhappy with the result is me 'cause I don't think it looks like one of the Dali clocks. Oh well, everyone else likes it, so that's ok. Oh, don't speak too soon - you cannot imagine how horrible I can be..... on a regular basis :) Have a good one yourself and til soon.
DeleteGreat idea for the inchie! I really love it that you and your husband are doing the inchies together :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks Margriet! Yep, this really is a special activity. Great exercise for the brain.
DeleteI love that gift for your parents! Adore! I also love that you and your husband do your inchies together, that is awesome. I also love what you came up with. I love the radio. In my car I sing out loud and dont care who hears or sees me dancing in my seat LOL I had not thought about that for the theme. I love the direction you took. great stuff this week!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your positive feedback! I am glad radio brought on some conversation. Notice how everyone leaving has a soft spot for it?
DeleteA wonderful Dali-esque creation! Your inchie is a cool idea and as for the ATC....a great doodle - your koala really made me smile!

DeleteMagnificent work. I love the quilled clock, especially the numbers. The microphone is excellent. I am going to have to check out Wicked Wednesday ATC. The koala bear poster is hilarious (I love koala bears).
ReplyDeleteThank you soooooooooooo much for your feedback! I don't like this work exactly because of the numbers. But obviously you can see them. Yep, koalas rule and we have plenty of 'em.
DeleteThe clock is stunning and so is the inchie and the drawing. You have so much talent
ReplyDeleteLove Chrissie
Thank you so much for your feedback, Chrissie! But am I Salvador Dali yet or still a wannabe? :)
