Hi,
On Every Inchie Monday this week the keyword is Plum. I thought of 'plum sum' and that's how I ended up with the logo for Crown Casino, which is right here in Melbourne.
And the Twinchie keyword is Chillies.

More inspired thinking Zoe and the crown looks fab. Loving your chilli too - how you cut out that tiny aperture I can't imagine.
ReplyDelete:) Thank you Lisette! Twinchies are not too small, so it's possible. Couldn't do it on an inchie, no way.
DeleteNever heard of Plum Sum so off to look what that is.Great inchie and wonderful twinchie
ReplyDeleteLove Chrissie x
I don't like plums much, so I immediately thought of a hefty amount of cash. Do you know, one version of the etymology is that a couple hundred years ago, 1,000 pounds was nicknamed plum..... and so it goes.
DeleteI love the pepper, how cool that you did origami! and I would have never gotten a casino from plum. I love how you got to that! Awesome
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! Not origami (I actually don't like that much), but iris folding. But, yes, for all intent and purposes, paper craft.
DeleteI have never heard of plum sum either, but good thinking once again. Love the chilli.
ReplyDeleteDon't know plum sum.....but I know a good chilli when I see one!
ReplyDeleteSally
Me too :)
DeleteI love learning new things. I had to look up plum as English money slang (and there is actually a connection to 'little jack horner' - my iinchie). Don't you just love the English language? - brilliant idea. You chilli is sumptuous..
ReplyDeleteOh yeah, English is unreal! I like the chilli myself :)
DeleteWould have never known about the plum money; so much more enticing than a "stack" (of "Benjamins," or $100 bills, equal to $1000). The English language can be so colorful!
ReplyDeleteOh there are some gorgeous nicknames for cash around the world.
DeleteYour chilli is quite a little piece of art. And your inchie is great. Who will do something different from the fruit either?
ReplyDeleteI wonder..... Thanks Trillian!
DeleteI'm glad you explained "plum sum" as I'd never heard that phrase. So, that was a fun take on Plum! And that chili folding is amazing!
ReplyDeleteThanks Jean!
DeleteOh this one is good!!! Haha, I love it!! Plum for a stack of money!! Who would've thought?Nice job!! And now that Twinchie,.....way cool!! I have heard of Iris folding but have never seen it done. That is amazing that you could create that beautiful chili. It is paper? Or is it ribbon? Have an awesome week!! :0) Share Humanity
ReplyDeleteHi Annette! Thanks! For iris folding...... get ready for it....... foil paper. I've seen it referred to as florist foil. You should look up iris folding, it's ridiculously easy and you most likely have everything you need for it already.
