This rose is from a tutorial by my neighbour across the state, Helen Williams on her blog A Little Lime. And a couple of littlies, practising recent tangles and strings. All for Diva's challenge #180.
Thank you so much Antonine! Really, all thanks should go to Helen - she is an amazing teacher. But, yes, I did do the plaid here all by myself...... if I do say so myself :)
I am soooo jealous. I get Helen's blog delivered to me through Bloglovin so I didn't get that beautiful rose pattern. I just love how you added the plaid to it too. Gorgeous!!!
Are you subscribed to her blog by email as well? That's how she can send all those goodies - only if your direct email is registered on her blog as well. Thank you so much for your feedback, Jean! I really try.
What the ..............? That is totally unique and much much talent went into that!! Wowza!! Zoe, you really did a fine job on that rose. And who would've ever thought to use that pattern on a rose??? Very creative!!! I love how you have been using a journal for your entries!!! I had seen a couple people do that last challenge and, once again you have inspired me. I am now finally using a beautiful journal that my friend gave me and didn't want to mess it up with nonsense. But now I am kinda just freelancing in it! And it feels good!!!! Plus it starts a a collage right in one book! So thank you, my dear!!! :0) I love Helen's work. I have bought her ebook and have not yet mastered some of her teachings in there. So Hats off to you!! You did a superb job!! :0)Share Humanity
Oh wow, thank you for your kind words! Yep, Helen's talent went into that. I've been working through her book and up to string now, which I haven't looked at yet. She'll have another one coming out soon on shading. I'm definitely getting that one. Journals can be cool. I happened to get three different kinds recently for either free or very cheap. So, yeah, I will use them madly.
Beautiful rose. You did a great job of putting MacDee in the petals. Helen has some great ideas. I have not gotten any of here books but always enjoy seeing her posts and trying the tangles that she comes up with.
Your rose is beautiful! I really like your page!
ReplyDeleteThank you Anoeska! I feel so useless and unskilled, I really wish I could draw properly. I suppose that's why I'm practising as much as I can. :)
DeleteStunning rose! What a fun way to use this tangle!
ReplyDeleteThank you Kate! But all thanks should really go to Helen - she even had a free give away of this e-tutorial.

ReplyDelete:) Aww, thank you! No, the rose is not - it's the work of someone talented and, I suppose, I did an ok copy.
