Different Trees and Egg Surprise

Autumn has arrived here. Not that it's northern hemisphere autumn, but I still love it. April weather is my favourite (although we might have to switch on the air conditioner on April Fool's Day). For Oak, the keyword on Every Inchie Monday, I have teeny quilled acorns, all from 1.5mm (1/16") paper strips.

Wicked Wednesday have Cherry Blossoms as the week's theme. I found an old birthday card from my parents with just such a tree on it. Cherry blossom is the Japanese sakura, so I used it as background for the Japanese Katana sword and sheath, made from quilling paper strips.

You can see my mum's writing embossed through. She always presses very hard when she writes.

And my beloved Moo-Mania & More have Eggs as their theme this fortnight. My quilled eggs are on eggshell coloured paper, sitting inside a piece of real egg carton.

Can you believe we're a quarter of the way through these miniature artworks, a quarter of the way through the year.

Wonder Woman

I struggled for a bit with this EIM word, Lasso. Then, I experienced triumph in a certain area of my life and felt like Wonder Woman. That's when I knew this has to be the golden lasso of truth.

Spring is in the Air!

Well, in the northern hemisphere it is. And that's the theme on Wicked Wednesday ATC challenge - Spring is in the Air. This is my ATC for this theme:

Quilled cats, pastel pencil drawing.

Nail Inchie and Poultry Moo

As we're coming up to Easter, this is a fitting interpretation of Nail, which is the keyword on Every Inchie Monday this week.

Moo Mania & More have Poultry as their theme this fortnight. This is what I came up with:

In Harmony with Oneself

Unfortunately, at some stage of life, we begin to lose people who are really close to us. I have just entered that age, when life begins to attract loss of close people. Through this post I would like to express my deepest respect for all those who left us. I am sharing this sympathy card at UnstampaBelles Harmony and/or Peace challenge:

Egyptian Themes

The word on Every Inchie Monday this week is Egyptian. Looooove all that ancient stuff. I have one of the more recognisable symbols - Eye of Horus.

And a change of theme. Thanks to UnstampaBelles, I have finally seen a positive side of the redback spider. That disgusting, deadly creature, which you can view here, won me this prize as a result of the February challenge!

Awwwww, it's Love!

Love my mum and it's her birthday coming up. She has a thing about taking notes all the time and writing a lot. So I decorated a notebook for her.

Tangled back
Of course mum'd be expecting a card (I make them for all her friends). The lilies are based on a tutorial you'll find here:  http://stranamasterov.ru/node/212113?t=587

More love.
EIM's word is Love. OK, I admit it, I love my cat. This is the print he left in my heart:

You must check out one of my cybermate's site - http://krazyjaynes.blogspot.com.au. Sally is publishing a magic series of inchie-ATC pairs each week. I am doing the same this week, as Wicked Wednesday ATC challenge for the week is Cute Creatures. My ATC is double sided.

The Moo this fortnight is Blackbird. What a beautiful topic. I have an albino blackbird on my Moo. And, if you don't believe me about those existing, have a look here:  https://www.google.com.au/search?q=albino+blackbird&biw=1579&bih=1228&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ei=LoruVOTWD5OF8gXO14KoBg&sqi=2&ved=0CBwQsAQ&dpr=1
Or google "albino blackbird" yourself.

And that brings me back to my albino cat. Love!
