Autumn has arrived here. Not that it's northern hemisphere autumn, but I still love it. April weather is my favourite (although we might have to switch on the air conditioner on April Fool's Day). For Oak, the keyword on Every Inchie Monday, I have teeny quilled acorns, all from 1.5mm (1/16") paper strips.
Wicked Wednesday have Cherry Blossoms as the week's theme. I found an old birthday card from my parents with just such a tree on it. Cherry blossom is the Japanese sakura, so I used it as background for the Japanese Katana sword and sheath, made from quilling paper strips.
And my beloved Moo-Mania & More have Eggs as their theme this fortnight. My quilled eggs are on eggshell coloured paper, sitting inside a piece of real egg carton.
Can you believe we're a quarter of the way through these miniature artworks, a quarter of the way through the year.

You can see my mum's writing embossed through. She always presses very hard when she writes. |
