Pavilion

How tough can Every Inchie Monday get?! Pavilion! That's what my husband is for. He came up with the idea, I came up with the final result. This is the logo of Yad Vashem, the world centre for holocaust research in Jerusalem. They have many, many pavilions of horror. I haven't been there yet, but will get there in this life.

Yad Vashem means hand and name in Hebrew

  1. Goodness! I didn't what this was when I saw it. We must never forget how evil the human mind can turn.

    1. I'd say that's why I haven't made it to that particular pavilion yet.

  3. Dear Zoe, thank you for the history/language lesson We cannot forget the past or we are doomed to repeat it.
The museum's current exhibit on the children of the Holocaust is poignant, yet beautiful to behold. It would be quite something to see.
A brilliant day to you. c

    1. From what I heard, the children's section is the most horrific. Even the toughest break down in that area. Apparently the Dalai Lama wept uncontrollably after that visit.

  4. I wondered what this was, it is a beautiful take on the theme. There is a holocaust museum in Texas that started a million butterfly challenge, meaning they were wanting to get 1 million handmade butterflies for the museum and I made a beaded one for it back in 2010 I think. I haven't been there but one day I want to go to see all the butterflies, most of which were done by grade school children.

    1. Oh wow, there's even on in Texas. There's one in Melbourne as well, but I haven't been. Would love to see your beaded butterfly if you have a photo.

  5. Loved that you used Yad Vashem for your theme. I have often been there, and it is hard, but I think it is so important to remember what happened. Valerie
