Does anyone remember Paul the Octopus who predicted winners in the 2010 soccer World Cup? Have a look here, here and here. Who would have thought that the whole world would come to love a yucky creature. Paul passed away shortly after he became famous. He had an interesting life.

Paul is stitched in metallic thread on hand dyed cloth. Couldn't get the photo to sparkle enough, so took one in almost darkness:
