On the comb / На расчёске (English & Русский)

My cat tried so hard to get into the photo shoots - he put his hair on the work, chewed on the strips and walked on the curls. Well, he made it - this frame is dedicated to him. And now everyone will see him in my second entry for the Frames & Borders challenge on Homyachok.

Most of the frame was looped on combs (spreuer). One of those is the cat's comb.

Большая часть рамки сделана из петлей на расчёсках (spreuer). Одна из этих расчёсок принадлежит коту.

Spot the quilling

Can you pick the tiny quilling here? This wasn't even intended to have any quilling on it. I was making an anniversary card for my parents and accidentally left smudges in one corner. For some reason, the blotches looked like grapes to me (Rorschach test in action), so I quilled them and tried to cover up the smudges. I made them from 1.5mm antique gold metallic strips and went over the top with a copper leafing pen (the very same that left smudges in the first place). Eventually I even made a box for the card - it's got an aperture with clear acetate.

Borders & Frames / Рамки (English & Русский)

Finally, a long-awaited new quilling challenge has arrived on Homyachok!!! And it's a brilliantly fun one - Frames & Borders So here is my frame, surrounding one of my favourite quotes - "Seize the Day".
Наконец-то, долгожданный новый квиллинг конкурс начался у Хомячка!!! И он потрясающе увлекательный - Рамки. Вот и моя рамка, которая обрамляет одну из моих любимых цитат - "Лови момент".

Sure enough, the cat's hair made it here
И конечно сюда попал волос кота

Mirror & beads for challenge

Just completed this mirror and beads for a challenge @:

Scrapbookboutique Yellow, Green & White

This theme threw me into a tropical mood.
So I made a quilled bead necklace. I pasted paper around a mirror and added a tad of quilling, spraying a coat of glossy sealer.

I used the following materials from Scrapbookboutique:

Ideal glue dispenser when you need tiny amounts

Indispensable mould for 3D quilling

Glossy glaze for the beads

Chalks for highlighting

Yet another double entry

And another card for two challenges:

Less is More B&W and hint of colour

and

For the Less is More team - please note the hint of colour: pink nose. I have to admit I plagiarised here  -  my real cat's nose is pink, so I copied it.

Thank You card 2

This is my second entry into the Casual Fridays challenge:

Cup of coffee for my dad's birthday

My father's birthday is coming up. So I quilled him this mug full of coffee bean with his initials and a sign asking him to stop & have a coffee before pushing any more buttons on his computer. He periodically messes up his computer and my husband resuscitates it. The idea is for my father to place this ornament next to his computer as reminder.
Personally, I think the coffee beans came out yummy. Oh, and I weaved quilling strips to create the coaster cover.

Mmmmmmm, yum!

Thank you card

I made this card for the Casual Fridays challenge:

It's a quilled kiss, and the writing is my own using a gold leafing pen. No matter how hard I tried, I could not make the shining gold show up in the photos. Open to suggestions if anyone knows how to bring out the metallic shine in photos.
