Just completed this mirror and beads for a challenge @:
Scrapbookboutique Yellow, Green & White
This theme threw me into a tropical mood.
So I made a quilled bead necklace. I pasted paper around a mirror and added a tad of quilling, spraying a coat of glossy sealer.
I used the following materials from Scrapbookboutique:
Ideal glue dispenser when you need tiny amounts
Indispensable mould for 3D quilling
Glossy glaze for the beads
Chalks for highlighting

Zoe this is lovely. I had no idea what quilling was up until about a month ago and your challenge entry really shows how effective it can be. It's a wonderful use of colour and items.. I think the mirror idea is great. Good luck with the challenge too.

Hi Helen,
DeleteThank you for the nice words. I only found out about quilling a year ago.
Good luck to all of us with the challenge. It's fun playing, isn't it.
This is totally amazing!! You are one clever crafter and such a FAB way to use the inspiration colours!

ReplyDeleteThank you so much. It is a lot of fun participating in the challenge - this is my first time playing with Scrapbookboutique, and I love it.
DeleteZoe, it's very original! Beads is like a plastic, but not a paper.
ReplyDeleteAnd now I'm inviting you to my blog. I have surprise for you:)

Зой, извини за английский:). Перевод нужен?)
I know, I glazed them to bits. Please don't apologise for anything, and you don't need to translate.
DeleteI am coming over to your blog.
Zoe, thanks. What is "bits" in Russian?
DeleteЭто значит "очень, очень, очень сильно" на жаргоне - "наглухо"
